Just In: Another vehicle plunges off St Mike’s bridge

Another vehicle has plunged off the bridge in Marine Drive, St Michael’s.

According to Kwazulu Private Ambulance, the accident occurred at around 5.15am.

“The sole occupant of the car was trapped in the vehicle, and was found to have serious injuries.

“Fortunately, the recent rains have caused the river mouth to open so the water level was low,” said spokesman, Craig Botha.

Paramedics worked together with the fire department to free the driver, who was stabilised and taken to hospital.
