Joy of dance celebrated at Wild Coast Sun

This year’s show dazzled, inspired and impressed with slick routines, gorgeous costumes and great music.

`Dance Celebration’ definitely deserves its top billing on the South Coast’s entertainment calendar.

The glittering annual showcase of fabulous dance in all its guises from classical ballet, to ballroom and Latin American to belly, line, tap, contemporary, jazz and Irish river dancing was staged at the Tropical Nites Theatre at the Wild Coast Sun Hotel and Casino Resort last Saturday.

The extravaganza featured close to 100 local dancers (from tots to grans) from South Coast dance studios as well as a troupe from Durban. This year’s show dazzled, inspired and impressed with slick routines, gorgeous costumes and great music.

It was refreshing to see many boys on stage as well as the revival of tap dancing.

This annual showcase has come a long way and the local dance teachers and their talented dancers can take a collective (deep) bow for an excellent production.
