Shelly Beach Lions induct new president

Outgoing president Mark Brauteseth recieved the Louis Halse award.

Shelly Beach Lions Club welcomed its new Lion’s president for 2019/20 Lionistic year with an induction and awards dinner at Izotsha Creek for its members recently.

Past council chairman Lion Paul Brauteseth congratulated the newly inducted president Ishmael De Pinho.

“Thank you for taking the helm of our club. We look forward to the amazing work, projects and services the club will continue to provide to our community,” he said.

Lion Johann Bentley was awarded the ‘Lion of the Year’ award for always going the extra mile. Lion Charles Taylor received ‘Stirrer of the Year’ award for another consecutive year.

Immediate past president Lion Mark Brauteseth thanked all the Lady Lions for their help and support during the year, with special mention to Lion Samantha Podmore for all her public relations support, Lindy Visser for arranging the induction evening and Celeste Brauteseth for helping with the finances and accounts.

The evening wrapped up with a final and well-earned award when Lion President Ishmael De Pinho presented outgoing president Mark Brauteseth with the Louis Halse award for his incredible service and dedication to Lions.
