Teddies bring smiles to sick children

About 120 of the toys have been handed out so far, with another 100 earmarked for later distribution.

SCOTTBURGH Lions Club recently received a sizeable donation from the Dedicated Ambassadors Delivering Support (DADS) charity.

Some of this money was used to buy bags of teddy bears which were handed out to sick children, including those in GJ Crookes Hospital and Khanya Hospice.

“It was heart-breaking to see so many children who are ill, but very uplifting to see their smiles after we gave them the teddy bears,” said Lion Wendy Barwell.
