Clean audit for Child Welfare Port Shepstone

The organisation had a clean audit and is fully compliant in terms of legislative governance.

Child Welfare Port Shepstone held its 21st Annual General Meeting at St Michael’s Sands Hotel last Thursday.

The guest speaker was Reverend Danny Chetty, who spoke on protecting, guarding and valuing children lives.

He could not stress enough the importance of people taking active responsibility and emphasised that Child Welfare organisations should not be put in a position of asking for money, but rather that individuals ought to take up the social responsibility and come forward to assist in safeguarding the well being of all children.

The chairman, Dinesh Pillay, conveyed his sincere gratitude to staff members, management, the community and all those who supported Child Welfare South Africa Port Shepstone.

Child Welfare South Africa Port Shepstone introduced the chairman’s award for going beyond the call of duty. The first recipient of this award was public relations officer Carol Meth, for her dedication to the organisation.
