Teachings by the Venerable Chamtrul Rinpoche on offer

His teachings will be of interest to many seekers of other spiritual paths.

Chamtrul Rinpoche, an authentic and recognised master, from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, will be holding a three-day workshop in the activity room at the Uvongo Library.

Join him for the first topic of ‘Pure Motivation: the Way to Benefit Self and Others’ on Friday, September 20 from 5:45pm to 7:45pm.

Chamtrul will teach us how we can recognise the impact of motivation on our lives and how we can reach out to ourselves and others with compassion and greater effectiveness.

His second topic: ‘The 4 Results of Karma’ will be discussed on Saturday, September 21 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm

During this session, he will talk on how the results of our actions impact on our lives in the form of Karma. And how we can avoid negative consequences in this and future lives.

Lastly, Chamtrul will discuss ‘Dream Yoga’ on Monday, September 23 from 5:45pm to 7:45pm.

He will give an overview of the ancient Tibetan practise of dream yoga or lucid dreaming, as it is often referred to in many other disciplines. It is a practice, which teaches us not only how to recognise we are dreaming while asleep, but how to use dreams for our benefit and the benefit of others.

The Venerable Chamtrul Rinpoche

Chamtrul teaches worldwide and this is his tenth visit to South Africa and his fourth consecutive visit to the South Coast.

Teachings are free of charge, but donations (dana) towards his travel expenses are very welcome and help ensure he can return to teach again.

He normally teaches for one and a half hours and devotes a half-hour to questions.

No bookings are necessary for the talks, but please arrive early.
