Tweni Talk: Danie and Marlene say ‘I do’ … again

DANIE and Marlene van Tonder spent an awesome 12 days in Mauritius recently. The cherry on the top was the romantic renewal of their wedding vows – after 35 years.

It was a special occasion and a lovely commitment. All unromantic men should take a leaf out of Danie’s book – even the smallest gesture will suffice.

Well done

Moira King and Jackie Koekemoer took part in a 6-hour run/walk which was part of the South Coast 100 Prayer run held at Douglas Mitchell Park in Uvongo last Saturday.

Moira completed 40km and Jackie did 44km. It was tough in hectic windy conditions, but it was lots of fun.

The unclaimed little tick, flea and worm-ridden puppy found in Mgazi Avenue last Saturday has found a loving home in Umtentweni and will be taken to the vet today (Wednesday) for deworming and vaccinations.

How does a tiny puppy get into that state and also find itself lost in a busy suburb? Thankfully he has been adopted by a family who has two little loving boys to help raise him.
