Hibberdene Happenings: Trevor loses the battle
Trevor and his wife Lynn had been residents of Hibberdene for many years and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few years ago.
SADLY, your scribe has yet another death to report on. Trevor Webster, a resident of the Hibberdene River Resort, died last Wednesday, September 11, after not being too well for a couple of weeks.

Trevor and his wife Lynn had lived in Hibberdene for many years and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a few years ago. He will be very sadly missed and sympathy is extended to Lynn, his children and other family members.
Well done
Congratulations to Thembi Linda, daughter of Yvonne and Evans, who has been appointed as a prefect at Port Shepstone High for 2020. Very well done.
Diary items
Remember to book your place at the jumble/car boot sale to be held on Saturday, October 5, at the town hall. A huge variety of used clothing, books, furniture, linen and household goods will be available, and there will pancakes and similar fare on sale.
Peter Laubscher aka ‘DJ Funky’ will also be on duty, playing his inimitable brand of music, so be sure to diarise the date. To book, contact Marie at 082 2935757. Tables are only R20 for the day, so please support this venture.
Lucky winners
A delighted Phyllis Michaelis won a R100 Feed and Seed voucher in the Lions Club’s latest draw. Phyllis chose a variety of cat food for her beloved pet Madonna.
Your scribe was lucky enough to win a Blue Waters Pub and Grill meal voucher at last Thursday’s social afternoon.
You too can be as lucky if you attend the venue on a Thursday afternoon, as a raffle in aid of South Coast Hospice is held weekly, with two or three prizes on offer.
