Academy pupils have fun with cultures

Part of the rationale is to enable pupils to understand and enjoy and respect other cultures.

Afrikaans is the first additional language studied at Hibberdene Academy and one part of the syllabus is the study of different cultures.

To celebrate Heritage Month, pupils dressed accordingly and cooked and served delicious meals that are common to their traditions.

Part of the rationale is to enable pupils to understand and enjoy and respect other cultures – a skill that is currently of paramount importance in South Africa.

Pupils loved the morning and had fun displaying their wares and enjoying other delights from various cultures.
