Hip-hop artist KP believes in the dream
Voting started on September 1 and will close on November 29, with the awards night in Durban on November 30.
KP, a hip-hop artist from the South Coast is a man on the move, one with a growing fan base, who has recently been nominated in the best upcoming artist in the Live Your Dream SA awards.
His real name is Khulekani Xolo and is best known song at the moment is ‘I Believe’.

“People know me by my stage name, but when I walk on the street, some of them call me ‘Mr I Believe’,” he laughed.
“I also have a club banger called ‘Be Free’ which seems to be a song people really love.”
He’s encouraging South Coasters to vote for him.

KP has performed at various places on the South Coast and further afield, with his getting airtime on various radio stations, including Gagasi fm and Ukhozi fm.

“I’m representing the South Coast. I want to win this award for 039,” he said.
“I write songs to encourage young South Africans to stay away from drugs, alcohol and crime and to believe in themselves, no matter how hard it is, you can make a success of life,” he said.
“When I’m on stage I tell people suicide is not an answer, no pain will last forever.”
KP has put his faith firmly in God.
“We all come from different backgrounds and face different challenges. I have seen young South Africans dying and losing hope. I wrote ‘I Believe’ to bring back hope and healing.”
