Scottburgh High’s water polo girls place second

The team only lost one game the entire league to Toti High, who ended up winning the league.

SCOTTBURGH High’s girls’ 1st Water Polo Team placed second in the league out of seven schools, beating the likes of Kingsway and Kloof (both are almost double the size), and private schools of Curro Hillcrest, Reddam Umhlanga and Crawford North Coast.

This is a fantastic achievement for the school. Scottburgh High only lost one game the entire league, to Toti High who ended up winning the league.

Congratulations to Coach Madison Bamber and the outstanding group of first team players.

Scottburgh High School’s 1st Water Polo team comprising (from left) Paige Russell, Jordyn Huntington, Angela Hall, Abi Hawkes (co-captain), Jessica Holloway, Lucy Allison (co-captain), Chae Dowsett, Catherine Schmidt, Taylor Sarkozi, Coach Madison Bamber and Jenna Griffith placed second in the league, out of seven schools.

The official results for the senior girls are:

1 Amanzimtoti High, 2 Scottburgh High, 3 Curro Hillcrest, 4 Kingsway, 5 Reddam Umhlanga, 6 Kloof, and 7 Crawford North Coast.

Well done to Paige Russell (U15) and Jordyn Huntington (U16) for being selected for the KZN Coastal Water Polo teams for their respective age groups, as well as Chae Dowsett (U14) for being selected for the KZN Water Polo squad. Chae is wished the best of luck for her final round of trials in October.
