JUST IN: Armed robbery at cellphone store

Police are searching for the armed men.

Several staff at a cellphone store in Port Shepstone were left traumatized after an armed robbery earlier today (Friday).

It is believed that four armed men entered the cellphone store in Connor Street at about 11.30am.

According to police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge two of the men held the staff at gunpoint whilst the other two robbed the store.

“An undisclosed amount of cash was taken and a number of cellphones taken. The men fled in a white VW Jetta with ND registration,” said Capt Mpinge.

Police are searching for the four men.
