JUST IN: Cellphone store robbery in Sheppie – three escape, but police nab one

A case of business robbery is being investigated.

Four men robbed a clothing and cellphone store in Port Shepstone at about 10am today.

It’s the second cellphone store to be hit in the past three days, with a store in Connor Street robbed last Friday.

According to police spokesman, Captain Petros Mpinge, two men  stood at the door while the other two forced staff to hand over the store’s cellphones.

“None of the staff were injured and the robbers fled on foot. Police were on the scene quickly and arrested one of the four men. Some of the cellphones were recovered,” he said.

A case of business robbery is being investigated.
