Sweet treats help fill SPCA coffers

The cupcakes sold out almost within minutes.

AS part of International World Animal Day, celebrated last week, the Scottburgh SPCA charity shop formed a team to help raise funds for the society.

A number of people took to the streets, rattling donation tins and handing out SPCA stickers to those who gave so generously.

Business also boomed in the shop, where cupcakes were on sale.

This was very well supported with the tasty treats selling out in minutes.

Shop managers, Olwen and Colette James thank everyone who helped on the day, with special mention made of the helpers from Cedars.

“We couldn’t have done it without them,” said Colette.
