“We are aware that the Hindu community in our town will be disappointed that our annual Diwali float and show has been cancelled because of some logistical challenges. When the Hindu Cultural Federation is fully constituted by 2020, the organisation will resume its work. Notwithstanding the circumstances, we trust that all Hindus will enjoy their Diwali  in the true spirit of our religion, ” said Mr Singh.

The South Coast Diwali would have taken place at the Marburg Sports Complex this Saturday.

Diwali will be celebrated by Hindus around the world on Sunday, October 27.
