Methodists are urged to start collecting previously used clothing, kitchenware, books and bric-a-brac for the jumble sale to be held on Saturday, November 30, between 8.30am and noon. The previous sales went off very well and it’s hoped that this one will be equally successful.
RIP Janet
Sad news is that Janet Galbraith died recently. Janet lost her husband Alex in July and had only recently moved into a home in Durban. She will be remembered by many and deepest sympathy is extended to her family.
Plan ahead
After a month’s break, Mizpah Church reconvenes for its October men’s breakfast this coming Saturday (19th) at 7am. These breakfasts are very popular and are open to men of all denominations. For only R20 you will be treated to a delicious meal, plus a time of fellowship and chatter. Contact Edgar Lilje at 084 5820772 for more information.
The Mtwalume community will gather for another of its flea and craft markets on Saturday, November 2 from 9am. These markets are always well attended and stallholders go out of their way to attract the public to buy their wares. With Christmas looming, why not use the opportunity to stock up on some handy stocking fillers.
And with a little luck, Andy Els will be on hand to provide his irresistible brand of music. The market will be held at the usual venue – the pool area at Koelwaters Resort and everyone is most welcome to attend.
Thank you
Your scribe is extremely grateful for all the plastic bread sealers received recently. Please keep them coming, as it takes an awful lot of sealers to provide just one wheelchair and the need is great. Sealers may be handed to your scribe or at the clinic on a Wednesday morning.
The Lions’ latest lucky draw took place during the week and winners are congratulated.
