Stonecroft Ministries fosters a passion to serve
The two guest speakers have an immense passion to serve.
Members and guests were delighted to be part of the in-depth talks by guest speakers Leon Garbade and Jo-Ellen Hannaway at Stonecroft Ministries’ morning tea at Port Shepstone Country Club recently. The theme was ‘Passion to Serve.’

Mr Garbade, who grew up on the South Coast, said his desire to serve others led to him joining the Port Shepstone Round Table.
“No one will understand that feeling of fulfilment until you have been part of something bigger than you,” he said.
“When you are having fun, time and effort come easier, and people are more prepared to help.
Through his commitment with the Port Shepstone Round Table, he and fellow members gave hope to a child heart patient by raising R380 000 required for an emergency operation.

In addition, the organisation has created a new project, the Dirt Bike Rally for burn victims.
Mr Garbade said most people live in a bubble of oblivion and encouraged those present to interact and engage with others.
“Get to know your neighbours and help where you can,” he concluded.
Mrs Hannaway, the second guest speaker, said her teenage years were spent in many hospitals and rehab centres. That was until she came face to face with Jesus.
“It took the health of one of my children to make me confront my life and apply the words we repeat so easily in the Lord’s prayer, ‘Thy Will be Done,'” she said.

“The road is not easy. Each day is a work in progress, but the reward is great.”
The next Stonecroft Ministries morning tea takes place at Port Shepstone Country Club on Friday, November 22 at 9.30am. Call Vanessa on 082 8181449 for bookings. Guest speakers, Mike Rutter will talk on ‘His Gift’, and Anita Hulley will share a few tricks on putting together your Christmas table.
