Visitors to the Margate Retirement Village’s morning market and craft fair held recently were in for a shopping treat.

Stalls were stocked with fine arts and crafts, needlepoint, jewellery, ceramics, herbs, wood-turned products and photography and painting.
Amateur cooks got an opportunity to show off their cooking prowess and sold an array of food items from pancakes, biscuits, curry and rice to koeksisters.
All agreed this well-supported event provided the perfect opportunity to stock up on early Christmas gifts.
