BREAKING: Power outage … storms probable cause, not load-shedding

It seems more of the northern lower South Coast towns have been affected.

The weekend for many South Coasters has come to a ‘dark’ end with a power outage in various towns.

Affected areas include Oslo Beach, going all the way to Hibberdene.

Further south, towns like Margate have not been affected.

It is likely the power outage is due to the effects of a late afternoon storm and not load-shedding.

The exact cause – as to where and why – the power has gone out has not yet been established.

It’s also not known just how long the power will be out for.

One silver lining is that the plenteous rain has pleased local farmers and will hopefully go some way to filling up the dams.

Take care on the roads and remember the rules of the fourway stop at traffic lights which are currently out of order.
