Hibberdene Happenings: Rain dampens planned outdoor events
Some events have been postponed for a week and hopefully the sun will shine.
Well, we prayed for rain and our prayers were certainly answered with rain and yet more rain over the weekend. With the inclement weather, not much was able to take place – Mtwalume’s popular craft and flea market, scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed and will hopefully take place this coming Saturday (16th) should the weather be favourable.

The same format will apply – alongside the pool at Koelwaters Resort, with Andy Els once again supplying the music. Hopefully this time the sun will oblige.
Diary items
Mizpah Church’s men’s breakfast is set for this coming Saturday (16th) as well and men of all denominations are welcome to attend. Contact Edgar Lilje at 084 5820772 should you wish to book a place or for more information. The breakfasts will go into recess thereafter and reconvene early in the new year.
Remember to book for the Methodist’s December breakfast (7th) to which wives and partners are invited. Space is limited, so book with Debbie at 039 6992948 as soon as possible. Men pay R30 each and women pay a donation.
Hopefully the weather will be bright and sunny for the Methodist Church’s planned jumble sale on Saturday, November 30, from 8.30am to 12pm. Carry on sorting out your jumble as every little bit will help to sweeten the coffers.

The excitement of winning the Rugby World Cup still lingers and those who were lucky enough to witness the victory parade in Durban will, your scribe is sure, cherish it for a long, long time to come.
Remember to keep Lizzie busy with all things Hibberdene.
