Rage over Rocklyn road
A section of the road has subsided into a woman's residential property, causing substantial damage.
ROCKLYN Drive residents in Park Rynie are frustrated with the state of their road which began collapsing after the floods in April this year.
A section of the road has subsided into a woman’s residential property, causing considerable damage.

“My garden was destroyed, my fence has been broken and I have three vicious dogs which can now easily get out because of this,” she said.
“Someone came to assess the road a long time ago, but that was it. There’s been no change – nothing has been done.”
Others living in Rocklyn Drive claim to have contacted the municipality on several occasions.
Local media, including the Mail, have previously reported on this and have contacted Umdoni Municipality for comment.
Communication’s manager, Sphelele Cele said that the problem had been brought to the attention of the technical services unit, adding that an assessment of the road would be conducted.
“The findings will ascertain the level of work to be done and time frames for rehabilitation,” she said.
The road has since deteriorated further after the recent heavy rains.
Another resident pointed out that it was not only homeowners who were being affected.
“We also worry about the children from the nearby school who might slip and fall.
“We hope something can be done soon because it seems like no one wants to be held accountable for this,” he said.
An update is awaited from the municipality.
