Sheppie Snippets: Child Welfare fun day this Saturday
Everyone is invited to join in.
Child Welfare, South Africa Port Shepstone is holding a fund-raising family fun day at the St Martin de Porres school grounds on Saturday, November 30 from 8am. The programme starts with a Zumba warm-up and a four-kilometre fun run at 8.30am. Highlights of the event include an open-air talk by ‘Pink Couch’ presenter Tessa Green, volleyball, a Superbodies fitness workout, a Genesis strongman competition and a car show, shine and sound competition.
There will be food stalls and lots of prizes up for grabs. Tickets for the run are R30 for adults and R15 for those under 18.
Entry to the grounds is R5 for adults and children under 12 enter free. Registration is now open at the Child Welfare office. For further information, contact Carol Meth at 064 0653635.
Bhangra party
Kapenta Bay Resort and Conference Hotel presents a ‘Bhangra Fusion Party’, an evening of dinner and dancing on Saturday, December 7 from 6.30pm. Tree of light
The South Coast Hospice ‘Tree of Light’ ceremony will take place at the Southcoast Mall on Saturday, December 7 at 6pm. Celebrate the life of your loved ones who have passed on, by pledging a star in their memory with a donation. Bhangra and classic tunes
The Shree Hanuman Sanathan Dharma Sabha Mandir in partnership with SA Promotions presents a New Years Eve dinner and dance bash with live entertainment by Abdul Rahim Rassool, Khilona Sounds and Nagara Entertainers from Durban. The event will be held at Marburg Secondary hall on Saturday, December 28 at 6pm. Cost is R180 per person, and the dress code is smart casual. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the temple.
