Spirit of Christmas celebrated at Stonecroft
It was a festive gathering, the last for 2019.
The spirit of Christmas was in the air at Stonecroft Minstries monthly meeting at Port Shepstone Country Club recently with interesting guest speakers and a Christmas fair with tables laden with goodies.

Although having to leave early to catch a plane, guest speaker Mike Rutter had everyone enthralled, as he talked about his traumatic experience of surviving a landmine explosion, in then Rhodesia, which resulted in him sustaining head and spine injuries, and his subsequent road to recovery which led him into the ministry.
Mike also suffered from a kidney disease called polyp kidneys, which saw him receiving the first ever live donor kidney transfer, here in South Africa, amidst much media coverage.
The miracle of this gift was that the donor kidney was one hundred percent compatible, a one in three million chance. Mike has dedicated his life to serving God. He also preaches at the Norwegian Settlers Church.
Keeping with the Christmas theme, Anita Hulley showed her guests how to ‘gooi and spray’ creating eye catching and festive Christmas products. Making it all look so easy, she provided great tips on DIY Christmas decor. “Taking bits and pieces from around the home and garden and giving them a new look is a cost effective way of creating individual Christmas gifts,” she advised.
Mrs Hulley provided a good tip for Christmas table decor. “Don’t over think it. Go with your own creativity and enjoy the experience.”
Stonecroft Ministries will be taking a recess in December and will resume its next monthly meeting on January 24, 2020, with guest speakers Mitty Odendaal and Margaret Rex.
