A MAN walking to his home in the Mgangeni area recently was assaulted near the Ndukebandla store by another man who pelted him with stones.

“A bystander intervened just before the man was about to throw a large rock onto the victim who was already on the ground,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
The suspect was arrested and was released on bail pending his next court appearance on December 10.
Detective Constable Nonhle Myende of Sawoti Detective Services is the investigating officer.
