Rainbow Warriors animal shelter closes down
The shelter has ceased to function as a rescue center and and no more donations will be accepted.
Rainbow Warriors animal shelter in Hibberdene closed its doors last Saturday.
This after the Lower South Coast SPCA received a complaint from a member of the public regarding the condition of the animals.

Terrence Olivier, who ran the shelter for many years, died in May this year.
Some 41 cats were euthanised recently after an SPCA inspection deemed them neglected.
Terrence’s nephew, Chad Swanepoel said the family had decided that the shelter would be closed after various other allegations came to light.
“We were led to believe that the people who took over the running of the shelter after Terrence died had a plan and would continue his legacy of caring for abandoned animals.
“Unfortunately, everything has fallen apart. The caged dogs have all now been removed, and we have rehomed the ‘Bone Crusher Crew’.
“We are so sorry that this has happened and we hope that supporters of the shelter will remember the selfless commitment and good that was done by Terrance.
“Thank you, everyone, for your support and love over the years,” he said.
