NSRI to the rescue after ski-boat capsizes
A woman (46) was rescued from the surf by the lifeguards.
A catamaran ski-boat, with a family of four from Johannesburg on board, capsized in the surf off Port Edward on Monday this week.

Alan Stilwell, NSRI Port Edward duty controller, said the skipper has been launching from the same site for 25 years without incident.
It appears that on this occasion surf conditions contributed to the boat capsizing.
NSRI Port Edward duty crew responded, together with Emithonjaneni lifeguards, Police Search and Rescue, and Med-Evac Ambulance Services.
One of the crew, a woman (46) was injured in the incident.
She was rescued from the surf by the lifeguards and transported to hospital by ambulance.
The skipper and the two children on board were not injured.
Darion Coetzee of Port Edward took to Facebook to thank the sea rescue team who responded.
“The lifeguards were first on the scene to rescue four individuals from the boat which capsized during launch. Thank you gentlemen for your hard work and risking your own lives to save others,” he said.
