BEACHES along the mid-South Coast were jam-packed in December.
Disappointingly however, some beachgoers selfishly left behind piles of litter, despite rubbish bins being readily available.

The items most often tossed carelessly away included plastic bags, plastic and glass bottles and food packaging.
A handful of good Samaritans joined forces with municipal workers over the holiday season in an effort to keep the beaches presentable, with another clean-up planned soon if enough volunteers step forward.
