Annual kavady festival up soon
The 88th annual Thaipoosam Kavady Festival takes place on January 30.
THE Shri Siva Soobramoniar Alayam invites everyone to the 88th annual Thai Poosam Kavady Festival in Third Street, Park Rynie, on January 30.
Mr and Mrs Kuben Pillay and family will commence the flag hoisting at 5.30pm.

Sathi Poojay is on January 31 with Rikesh and Ricardo Gunpath and family.
The chariot procession will leave the alayam premises at 11am on February 1.
On the 8th, Thai Poosam Kavady procession will leave the alayam premises at 7.30am proceeding to Park Rynie beach and thereafter returning to the alayam, where lunch will be provided.
The flag de-hoisting will be at 4.30pm.
All kavady carrying devotees will be responsible for decorating their own kavady and for removing the decorations at the alayam.
They are also asked to provide their own fruit and milk for their kavady chombu and paal kodam.
All devotees who will be getting trance are asked to carry their own tray, clay lamp, camphor and lime.
Ashes will be provided at the alayam.
Lime will be provided by the alayam for the Thai Poosam day only.
Residents of Park Rynie and surrounding districts are thanked for the assistance and support given to the various prayers undertaken at the alayam.
