Intruder hits woman with toaster during Sea Park break-in
He broke a window to gain entry to the home.
A Sea Park woman (33) was hit on the head with a toaster by an intruder in her home during the early hours of yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said the woman was asleep when she heard a scratching noise and went to investigate.

“A man had broken a window and gained entry to the house. He demanded money before hitting the woman on the head with the appliance.”
He fled with a handbag, cellphones, laptop and car keys.
The keys were later found abandoned in the yard.
And on Monday this week, a 44-year-old man was asleep at his Pumula home when he was awoken by two men who had entered the house by breaking a bedroom window.
“The men threatened the man and two other people with a firearm and a knife.
“They then bound the occupants and gagged them with pieces of bed sheet,” said Capt Mpinge.
“Cellphones, television, a laptop and a vehicle were stolen.”
The vehicle and television were later found abandoned in Umkomaas.
Southport detectives are investigating both cases.
