Guests ‘beetle in’ for an evening of fun

This monthly event makes for a lively and sociable get together.

The Ramsgate Lions Club held a beetle drive and braai evening at the Ramsgate Community Centre recently which made for a lively and sociable event. The braai fires were prepped and ready early whereafter the fun and games commenced.

Lion Rob Henry said the game of beetle is an old family favourite suitable for adults and children.

“The aim of the game is to be the first player to draw a complete beetle with each body part given a number. On “go” the game starts with players vying to complete their beetles. The minute a player completes their beetle they shout “beetle” and all participating in the game stop immediately,” he explained.
