No more sinking feeling in Scottburgh
The sinkhole which had been a dangerous feature on the corner of Margaret Avenue and Ann Arbor Road has been repaired.
IN a bit of good news for motorists, Umdoni Municipality workers set to work repairing roads in Scottburgh last week.
In Scottburgh South, the sinkhole which had been a dangerous feature on the corner of Margaret Avenue and Ann Arbor Road for many months was dug up and re-tarred.

The plethora of potholes in Ann Arbor Road between Minerva and Margaret Avenues were also fixed, and this week more repairs were undertaken in nearby roads.
Although most grateful for the work which has been done, there is still a great deal of concern about the strip of road in Marine Terrace which has been in terrible condition for a very long time.

That section of road was previously filled with sand to make it easier to drive on, but over time most of the sand has washed away and the situation has deteriorated.
It is hoped this will be the next project to receive council’s attention.
