With a varied programme for the evening and exceptional snacks and refreshments, the meeting flowed in a seamless fashion.

Commencing with a general discussion on the latest trends, it led into a practical demonstration of the versatility of a table-mounted router.

Long-standing member Gordon Thomson showed great skill in using a simple set-up to produce the components for a lidded box – the process being accurate and most importantly, adaptable.

Following the demo, a slide presentation highlighted tools and equipment currently for sale on the South Coast, with quite a number of items attracting interest.

The success of the evening was a team effort and this will guarantee ongoing support for the club in the coming year.

The next meeting will be February 26 so watch the space in the Herald under club events.
