FISHERMEN at the Nkumbane dam in Sezela spotted a child’s body in the water last Friday, February 7 at 1pm.
A two-year-old boy from the Esgumedeni area in Sezela had been reported missing on February 4 and Scottburgh Saps, together with Port Shestone’s K9 Search and Rescue team searched the area.

After police officers retrieved the body from the water, it was positively identified by the family as that of the missing boy.
“An appeal is made to parents and guardians to ensure that children are closely monitored at all times and should always be kept in sight,” said Scottburgh Saps communications officer, Captain Adam Francis.
