Body of child (12) recovered at Impenjati
When the boy failed to emerge from the water, his friend raised the alert.
The body of a 12-year-old boy who disappeared while swimming in the Mpenjati River has been recovered.
“An inquest docket is being investigated,” said Margate police spokesman, Sergeant Sibu Ncane.
On Tuesday around 5pm police were called to Mhlalandini area at Okhushwini near Gcilima.

According to relatives, the boy and a friend had gone to the Impenjathi River for a swim.
When the boy failed to emerge from the water, his friend raised the alert.
“Police were informed and a search was begun.
“The search resumed the following day, when the child’s body was recovered by Saps search and rescue,” said Sgt Ncane.
