Little Anjé needs your support

She has been diagnosed with an extremely rare condition which affects the blood vessels in the brain

The family of Anjé de Koker (11) is desperately trying to raise funds for her.

Anjé was diagnosed at the age of 11 months with a vein of Galen malformation, an extremely rare condition which affects the blood vessels in the brain.

The family lives in Port Edward, and their goal is to raise R30 000 towards medical expenses. Anjé’s mother, Jana said the condition is incurable and affects Anjé ‘s whole body, including her eyesight.

As a result of the malformation, she requires constant medical attention. She has already undergone five brain surgeries and a cycle of chemotherapy.

“Our family does not have the financial means to afford the medical bills and associated expenses,” said Jana.

A women’s tea is being held at the Port Edward Methodist Church on May 9 at 10am. They are hoping to have a small auction, and are looking for donations of items to go under the hammer, or a goodie bag to auction.If you can help contact Jana at 072 5147461.
