Love is in the air for seniors

They were treated to a wonderful pre-Valentine's Day bash.

Lighthouse Community Services threw a pre-Valentine’s Day party for senior citizens last Saturday.

The party was held at the Port Shepstone Recovery Centre, and chairman, Sunil Singh and his helpful band of members handed out Valentine’s Day treats before serving a delicious lunch.

Lucky draw prizes were presented, and musician Joshua Nadas Govinden provided the entertainment.

Mr Singh said seniors can face a variety of challenges, many of which could be mitigated with the help of organisations like Lighthouse Community Services.

“We need to continue to treat our precious elders in a loving and honourable way,” he said.
