Urgent road repair is needed in Marine Terrace

A section of road on the blind rise in Marine Terrace, Scottburgh has been in poor condition for many months.

At one point last year, sand was used to fill the dip to make it easier for vehicles to negotiate.

Strong winds and heavy rain have since removed most of the sand and the road is now worse than before.

“Some of us use this road to get to the main beach or to the restaurants but because of this dip, I avoid going to that area now,” said Scottburgh’s, Daniel Patchai.

“I have a low profile car and have damaged its lip spoiler on this road.”

Aware of the problem, most locals use an alternate road to access the beach and businesses in Marine Terrace.

However, those holidaying in the area may not be aware of this.

“I know not to use this road because of the damage it causes my vehicle, but visitors won’t because they are not familiar with the area,” added Mr Patchai.
