Praying for Umzinto
The pastors decided to hold the prayer in the heart of the town because of the recent crime wave which has swept through Umzinto.
CHURCHES in Umzinto and surrounding areas gathered together for a combined prayer meeting at the Caltex Garage in Umzinto on Wednesday last week.
The pastors decided to hold the prayer in the heart of the town because of the recent crime wave which has swept through Umzinto.

It was well attended, with hundreds of congregants from different churches uniting in prayer for the safety of the town, its people, the business sector, as well as the public servants and protection services.
“We prayed against the spirits that are controlling the atmosphere of our town, influencing people to commit these crimes. We also prayed for those who are selling and supplying drugs, especially to our young people,” said one member of the ministers’ network.
The group also took note of the coronavirus pandemic which has engulfed the world and prayed for a speedy recovery for those who have been affected by this virus.
“We would like to thank Umdoni Protection Services for their services rendered, the owner of Caltex Garage for use of the venue and Umzinto KFC for supplying us with electricity,” he said.
“We believe by faith that there will be great change in our town as a result of this prayer gathering,” he said, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14 which reads,”If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land”.
