Tweni Talk: Conservancy ‘load sheds’ constructively

The group collected 28 bags in the space of two hours.

Thank goodness for Umtentweni Conservancy’s ‘load shedding litter pickup’ last week. A few members comprising Liz Willey, Cheryl Aveyard, Mike King, Brucella Ridley and Colleen Hamilton decided to use the two-hour load shedding between 12 and 2pm last Friday (13th) to pick up litter at the Abingdon Road traffic light intersection. This area had recently been cleared of bush and exposed lots of litter. The group collected 28 bags in the space of two hours.

If you are approached and unsure, contact SAPS or your security company.

Welcome to renowned artist Toni Bico, in town from Johannesburg to visit friends for a short while – thanks for bringing the rain.
