It’s finally official – Londolo Zungu has been sworn in as the new mayor of Umzumbe Municipality.
She and her new deputy, Sibongiseni Cele took their oaths of office at an inauguration ceremony held at Esibanini Community Hall in Umzumbe recently.

The position of mayor became vacant in September last year when Sizwe Ngcobo left the municipality to take over as mayor at Ugu.
EFF member Zakhele Phahla was also sworn in as a councillor.
He replaces Nkosinathi Hlophe who was axed by the EFF in September last year.
