Charity of Hope is a project that seeks to deliver food to those in need during the national lockdown.

“Over the last few day we have noticed that there is a very big need for additional food relief systems on the South Coast during these trying times with Covid-19,” said Johnny Grové, chairman of Port Shepstone Round Tablers.

The Tablers are working together with local businessmen and businesses, including Dawid Dorfling (Trading & Entrepreneur Magazine), Francois du Plessis (FDG Holdings), Carol-Anne Warren (We Care) and Kirsty Hooper (Hibiscus Coast Seconds).

The team has decided to stand up at this time and bring this programme to locals who need help.

Once there are enough funds, Charity of Hope will contact local shops that deliver and make the needed arrangements to get parcels delivered to the families in need.

“There is a strict criteria as this is for those that really can not afford to buy food,” said Johnny.

“A form will need to be completed and according to that we will allocate parcels. Please find it in your heart to help our local families stand strong in these hard times.”
