Two arrested in Mtwalume for drug possession

Charges will include contravening the Disaster Management Act.

Two men, aged 19 and 21, were arrested in Mathulini area in Mtwalume after being found in possession of dagga, mandrax, heroin and ecstasy.

Hibberdene police made the arrest with the assistance of Port Shepstone Public Order Police (POP) and Highway Patrol.

The men face charges of possession of drugs and contravening the Disaster Management Act, and will appear in the Umzumbe Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).

Ugu Cluster Commander, Major General Sethenya Nxamagele was pleased with the recovery and arrests and encouraged her members to continue with law enforcement under these challenging circumstances.
