‘Drive carefully’ medic warns after fuel spill

Two were injured when a vehicle had hit a patch on the route and rolled.

Glen Preston of Med-Evac has warned motorists to take extra care when travelling along the R620 – southbound – between Shelly Beach and Uvongo.

He said there has been a fuel spill – oil or diesel – which has made road conditions, especially in the wet weather, hazardous.

“It looks like a truck has dropped oil on this stretch, all the way from Shelly Beach to Uvongo,” he said.

He added that two were injured when a vehicle had hit a patch on the route and rolled.

The sun had come out in the mid afternoon (at the time of writing) after steady rain most of the morning.
