7 new deaths, 2506 confirmed Covid-19 cases in South Africa
Gauteng has the highest number of confirmed cases at 930.
Today (15 April) the Ministry of Health confirmed 2506 Covid-19 cases in South Africa.
There are also seven new Covid-19 related deaths, six in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) and one in Gauteng, bringing the total number of deaths to 34.
The KZN deaths include four women and two men aged between 71 and 91.
The Gauteng resident is a man, aged 50.
All but two had underlying health conditions, including high blood pressure, asthma and diabetes.
In a statement, the ministry conveyed its condolences to the families.
Gauteng also has the highest number of confirmed cases at 930, followed by the Western Cape with 657 and KZN with 519.
To date, the total number of tests conducted is 90 515.
