In November 2019, a Shelly Beach resident needed assistance with home renovations and enlisted the help of several men who claimed to be able to help.
Once work had begun, the resident realised that his gas bottles, toolbox, gas hob and other property were missing. This was reported to police and a case of theft was opened.
