Hospice shops welcome any and all unwanted goods

Khanya Hospice is not government funded and its three hospice shops generate much of the income needed to continue its free palliative nursing care services.

Hospice staff and volunteers were happy to be back at work when the charity shops reopened, and have already said hello to quite a few faces who have come through their doors and supported them.

This year marks Khanya’s 35th year of serving the community and  CEO, Neil McDonald thanks everyone for their contributions and encourages more people to get on board and help them help others.

“Should people want to send us a ‘birthday present’ please do contact us,” he said. “We will gladly accept anything from cash to clothing and crockery.”
