Staff member(s) at Scottburgh Mall Woolworths test positive for Covid-19
People who have recently visited the store are asked to monitor themselves for any symptoms.
Woolworths at Scottburgh Mall was recently closed for deep cleansing after some staff tested positive for Covid-19.
Woolworths head office issued a press release confirming the incident, but did not mention the number of staff affected nor in what area of the store they worked.
Woolworths has since activated Department of Health procedures and the staff in question have gone into quarantine.
People who have recently visited the store are asked to monitor themselves for any symptoms, and go for testing if possible.
Take note that some people do not show symptoms, but can still carry the virus.

Following the positive case(s) Scottburgh Mall manager, Lorraine Scheepers said in a statement posted on the mall’s official Facebook page that as an added precaution, the mall’s common areas such as passages and bathrooms had also been deep cleansed.
“We would like to assure you that Scottburgh Mall takes the safety of shoppers and staff alike very seriously,” she said.
“All stores have sanitising options at their doors. We have also installed wall mounted hand sanitising devices throughout the mall.”
When visiting this or any mall, ensure that you wear a face mask at all times, sanitise your hands regularly and practice social distancing of 1.5 metres.
