UPDATE: Confirmed Covid-19 cases now stand at 245 in Ugu District

Between June 25 and June 29 there has been an increase of 55 new cases in the area.

As of today, Monday, June 29,  KwaZulu-Natal has 8 434 confirmed Covid-19 cases, according to the Department of Health.

Of these, 4 717 are active with 648 new cases confirmed today.

Some 115 people have died from the disease.

The recovery rate is 3 602.

The total number of screenings done is 7 077 887  and 119 380 tests have been conducted.
