Security still very much the focus in Ramsgate
According to the Ramsgate Urban Development Precinct, resources in increasingly short supply are skills and time.
The Ramsgate Urban Development Precinct NPC (RUDP), in preparing for its annual general meeting earlier this year, could never have predicted the Covid-19 pandemic that has taken the world by storm and wreaked serious damage to the economy.
The RUDP is a non-profit organisation which collects a levy through the local municipality from property owners, paid in addition to normal rates, for defined purposes, and disbursed within the Ramsgate area alone.
It then distributes those funds in accordance with the principles of good governance after considering formal funding requests from Ramsgate-based NGOs only.
The board of directors, in determining its funding needs for the years ahead, caters for the growth and financial well-being of the NGOs at large, with a firm emphasis on its prime directive, that being of the enhancement of the existing and development of new approaches to safeguard the safety and security of the general public and property within the Ramsgate area.
The Board thanked the Ramsgate community for continuing to show faith in and support for the plans put forward.
Security remains very much a focus, and the Ramsgate CPF has provided consistently excellent service and now, more than ever, its unwavering commitment to Ramsgate and its citizens is appreciated.
This can be seen by the positive reactions seen on numerous social media platforms.
These sentiments are extended to the private security services that operate without recompense in tandem with the gallant Saps reservists.
The directors are currently formulating plans to make other tangible inputs into enhancing the living experience of all Ramsgate residents, as well as the visitors that will surely return.
They believe that this is a time to use time at home to identify and act upon the many aspects of the Ramsgate experience that can make a difference, sustainably and within available means.
Resources in increasingly short supply are skills and time.
Those with a vested interest in Ramsgate and its improvement, who have professional skills and experience to offer, or just a keen willingness to get involved, are asked to contact the directors.
