Motorist injured in Margate crash

The patient was assessed on scene but declined ambulance transportation to hospital.

A motorist was injured in an accident on the R61 in Margate earlier today.

The accident took place at about 6.40am. Netcare 911 responded to the incident.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a car and bakkie were involved in a collision,” said Netcare 911 spokesman Shawn Herbst.

Medics assessed the scene and found that one person had sustained minor injuries.

“The patient was assessed on scene but declined ambulance transportation to hospital.”
